Therapy For Young Adults
College and young adulthood can be fun and exciting. You finally get to make your own decisions, leave the nest, get your own apartment, develop new friendships and maybe start new relationships.
At the same time, these changes can make life stressful, hard and overwhelming. Some of the main challenges I often address when working with college students and young adults include: depression and loneliness; anxiety about how to manage school or work responsibilities; substance use/abuse; and, relationship challenges with roommates, friends, partners, and family members.
I will help you unhook from thoughts about your past, future, self, and judgments; recognize barriers for managing your current life; identify your values in the areas of your life that you wish to improve; learn how to be present; and take committed actions that will lead you towards the improved life you desire. This “new you” will be more mature, integrated, stronger and better able to set good boundaries and make healthy life decisions. Let’s work together to help you create the life you really want.
